((I posted this in Toon Bios because it has to do with the age a toon might be for the purposes of RP. This is for those who, like me, are super detail-oriented, bordering on ****-retentive. I borrowed the aging system from DnD--gods bless them--and tweeked it a little. I'm using this system for all my toon bios, though some toons are special cases. For example, Thrakis, my belf pally is slightly older than Ari, my wife's belf hunter. Both grew up in Shatt's orphanage, and both are very young by elvish standards of age. They do not easily fit into this system, but I still use it for comparison. Anyway, without further ado, here is the chart.))
HUMAN > Adulthood 15, Middle-Age 35, Old 53, Venerable 70, Maximum 110
GNOME > Adulthood 40, Middle-Age 100, Old 150, Venerable 200, Maximum 350
DWARF > Adulthood 40, Middle-Age 125, Old 188, Venerable 250, Maximum 400
NIGHT ELF > Adulthood 110, Middle-Age 175, Old 263, Venerable 350, Maximum 750
DRAENEI > Adulthood 20, Middle-Age 62, Old 93, Venerable 125, Maximum 185
ORC > Adulthood 14, Middle-Age 30, Old 50, Venerable 65, Maximum 90
TAUREN > Adulthood 20, Middle-Age 62, Old 93, Venerable 125, Maximum 225
TROLL > Adulthood 20, Middle-Age 50, Old 75, Venerable 100, Maximum 160
BLOOD ELF > Adulthood 110, Middle-Age 175, Old 263, Venerable 350, Maximum 750
UNDEAD > Adulthood 15*, Middle-Age 35*, Old 70*, Maximum 110*
((Some footnotes:
1> This is merely the aging parameters I use for the purpose of RP. Age your own toons as you wish, if you wish to go that detailed. Or, feel free to use this chart, and tweek it to match the story of your toon.
2> Both elvish races age along the same lines. Also, though neither race is immortal any longer, they are still both long-lived races.
3> Orcs age about like humans, but for obvious, and maybe not-so-obvious, reasons, they don't live as long. Nothing rigid here, again. I have an orc shaman no one knows the age of--he's so old, he's ancient! Like Gandalf the Gray, almost.
4> "Maximum" simply means the maximum age the average person of any particular race will live. We all play heroes, so they can live as long, or as short, as we like.
5> * Most of the undead Forsaken were once human, so, in life, they aged like humans. The little star symbol (*) means the approximate age they died at. My undead priest, Janosz died at 68, and would be about 72 now, were he still aging. When I post his bio, he'll be listed as having died at 68.
6> For death knights, you could use the concept of the undead ("died at age __"), but use the aging chart of the appropiate race. Xinzoc, my DK troll, died at 80, the equivalent of about 57, in human years.))
