*Authors note* *Before you guys read this they do talk about things that im rating this chapter an M for mature...so if you are under age...do not read! thank you ^_^*
After a blissful and much needed rest at the inn in hillsbrad Kakhan awakens from his bed and rubs his eyes and yawns sleepily. He grabs his gear and quickly descends downstairs to grab his breakfast. The young paladin looks around but it seems like he is the first to awaken and so he claims a table that is big enough to fit everyone. "Well...more food for me." Khan chuckles and he grabs his plate of food from the barmaid and begins to dine. Giggles and laughs can be heard from upstairs. "I know that laugh....its gotta be Taissan. I hope the guy got some sleep. He may be a charmer but Im sure hes not stupid," the man thinks to himself as he dines upon his plate of food. The night elf waves to Khan as he descends and joins him at the table. "I tink everyone is still asleep. Oh...and I have bad news for you. It seems like Dalris and Pattus shared a room, if you get my drift." Khan coughs out his food in repulsion.
"They did what?"
"You heard me senor...see? You know ze old saying, Those who hesitate...?"
"I couldnt care less," Khan tells the rogue blatantly.
"I think khan you are full of mierda."
"full of what?"
"nuts."
'Oh...well you know when im full of it. hahahaha! But let me ask you a question Tai. Have you ever been in love with someone other than Kallica?"
".......Yes."
"Who?"
"Dat...is something I will not speak of. Not right now."
"Ooook...but answer me this. Is there any woman you wont sleep with?"
"My friend, you must understand. I dont just sleep with women. It would be very rude to just use them left and right. I merely provide them with comfort and whatever else they desire of me when I trust them enough. I have a rule...never to make love on a first night. It is very rude to act impulsively on the spot. Sure I do it at times...but never when it comes to making-"
"Taissan, its sex. Why do you keep saying making love all the time?"
"Because amigo der is a diffrence."
"Such as?"
"Well...sex is just not really filled with passion and emotion...just animalistic; acting instinctly, devoid of feeling. Its just flat out "empty" sex. And I frown upon it. I make sure that when I do make love...and I dont do it as often as you think Khan, I make sure I pay my fullest attention toward dat woman and ensure her the time of her life. And if dat is a crime...then I plead guilty."
The rogue merely grins happily at his explanation. Kakhan merely looks at Taissan and just nods slowly, unsure what to say about the rogue's strange sense of morality. Well at least to the paladin. Right before Khan gets a chance to speak again they hear multiple footsteps coming from upstairs. "Ah...Tai the rest are here," he exclaims as he continues to eat his meal.
The hike to the town of Ruel is quite simple, in fact too calm for the adventurers own good. After they make it to the village they see a pretty nice sight, just a regular busy small village with about sixty villagers, a good mix of human men and women including children and the elderly. Upon the arrival of Khan and the group an elderly man comes out from his home and runs out to greet them. "Welcome travelers. How may I help you this fine morning? My name is Landor Vier, and I am the village elder here," the man tells them all and smiles. Kakhan bows and introduces himself as well as introducing everyone else. "Im afraid sir we are here to seek a certain man." The elder's eyes blink. "Man? and what man do you seek noble paladin?" "Well...we are seeking a merchant who has been selling you some type of...candy?" Upon hearing this the elderly man claps happily. "Oh...you mean the merchant who has been selling us candy from the great Stissel Lixx?! Oh that man! You missed him good sir he came last month and I do apologize for the inconvenience."
"Stissel Lixx? Who is that?"
"Why the creator of all the fine candy he shares with us! We feel so fortunate that he is testing his candy out by letting us be his taste-testers! We are very honored by this. We do have to pay but he doesnt charge us too much,' the elder describes to Khan with a wide grin.
"I see. And do you know which way this merchant comes from? We would like to visit this Stissel Lixx."
"But of course. He comes from the path west of here and how far it goes I am not sure."
"Of course...oh and can you gather the town for us please? we would like to speak to them as well."
The elder nods. "But of course."
The town elder gestures the party to follow him and they get to the middle of the village which has a bell on it. He pulls on the rope and starts to tug on it, making a loud banging sound. After a few minutes the whole entire town surrounds Khan and the group with the elder in front of them. "Now good sir what else can we do for you?" the man asks. Oellin the draenai speaks up. "We would like to gather as much information as possible about this person named Stissel Lixx. Please...what do you all know?" The whole village begins to shout out and describe him and his candy but after a few seconds of it Kakhan raises his hand, signalling them to stop. "One at a time please! One at a time!" Clangeddin points to a random villager. "Startin with yoo!"
"Oh Stissel Lixx is great! His candy does wonders! I was sick once and when i had a candy bar of his that was just like eating from a beehive! I was cured after a day!"
"Yeah! Today I ate one of his "balls of fire" and after I ate it I started spewing out little sprouts of flame from my mouth for like 10 minutes!"
"After eating this 2 ounce candy bar of his I was able to fly for about half an hour. I had one of my dreams fulfilled that day!"
The villagers kept on going and going until Taissan raises his hand the villagers stop. After this the night elf looks at Landor and asks him a question. "Senor...May I have a couple of pieces of this candy you speak of? Id like to actually experience it for myself." The elderly man looks at Tai and raises his brow. "Im afraid we dont have much of this candy to spare...we can only buy so much and sharing it with outsiders is strictly forbidden." Tai sighs and intentionally drops a few gold pieces. "Oh what do you know? I seemed to have dropped a few gold pieces that I didnt know I had," the rogue winks at the town leader. Landor looks at the rogue and quickly bends down to collect the gold. "Well...I suppose I can spare ONE... piece of.... candy,' as he hesitantly hands Taissan a candy bar the size of his hand. Tai looks at the candy bar and opens it. It seems to be chocolate and he takes a bite as the group and the village look at him quietly, eagerly awaiting the results. After few munches and crunches the elf looks at everyone and smiles broadly. "Estas bien. I love it!" The whole village cheers and Kakhan sighs in relief. "Kakhan! I have found the trail of the merchant. It was a few days old but I was able to find the tracks. They are about a few days off to the west Landor was right," Dalris explains to him. "Nice work Dalris. Well guys lets go." After waving farewell to the village and they venture off into the unknown.
The next three days seems quite calm just like the first day that they began the mission. The night before they reach their location Dalris is on first watch with her bow and arrows. Khan approaches her. "Hi."
Dalris smiles. "Hey Khan."
"So what brought you here? Im curious."
"I just want to make a diffrence in the world thats all. When my father told me about his adventures with mother it inspired me to make a tale of my own."
"Well thats a very good reason to begin a cause. To do it by family tradition. I pretty much am doing the same thing," the paladin replies with a smile.
The woman smiles back and strokes her hair back. "So what about you? What brought you to-"
Dalris gets interrupted by a loud voice asking for her...it is Pattus. "Hey come on hun...lets hit the sack. Its Khans turn to go on shift!" "Coming! Hey Khan...its great to talk to you. Ill see you later," the pathfinder smiles and waves at Khan and the young paladin can do nothing but smile back and wave as well. The man looks out into the stars once again and just takes out his polearm and sets it on the ground. "Well...time for my nightly meditation period."
At about one o'clock in the afternoon the next day they finally arrive at their location. They see a HUGE silver colored castle easily as large as Stormwind and Pattus whistles. "Damn...thats some big factory." Khan nods and approaches the door. The door seems to be about 20 feet tall and all in white. In gold letters on top of the door are the words "Stissel Lixx." "Well....that wasnt so bad. Now lets see whats going on in there,' Khan explains as he knocks on the door. Nothing Happens. After about five minutes the dwarf goes toward Kakhan. "Lad we got no time for games now! Lets ge' in thar," as he takes out his huge tower shield and axe (his shield is as large as a normal sized door) and he swings his axe with so much force that the doors split open. Clangeddin grins wickedly. "Not exactly was a good boy in me time," he explains. Taissans jaws drop and he pats the dwarf on the back. "I like dis guy!" "Stop encouraging him," Oellin says with a smile. They all push open the now almost destroyed doors and enter the factory of Stissel Lixx. They see an amazing sight. The room they just entered is HUGE. It is about the size of a whole cul-de sac and is pure white, and beside each other are nothing but sets upon sets of doors, each one labeled a number and the room doesnt seem to have an end...it just keeps going and going. As everyone begins to look around suspiciously and cannot help but admire the works of this castle, Clanggedin touches the wall. "This stonework....is....AMAZIN! One piece of stone here can easily be traded in for some great gold at tha Auction house...about fifty gold worth lads!" Taissan starts breathing quickly and starts grabbing some pieces of stone and starts to giggle. Shortly after that Dalris speaks up. "We should go in one of these doors. Lets try this one," she says while trying to open the first door in front of her but she stops. Apparently the door is locked. "Hm. Lets try this one," Pattus tells everyone as he also tries to open a random door but no luck either. Taissan steps forward and says "I can pick open ze locks if we need to. Please stand far from me," he explains as he kneels down to a door and takes out his lockpicking gear. He starts to twist and turn on the lock with his lockpick and tools and starts mumbling to himself as the rest of the crew watch him, hoping to receive good results. After about twenty minutes of cursing and fiddling the door finally opens. "Alright caballeros and damas! We are good to-"
Suddenly, as the door opens a bright crackle of white lightning seems to spring forward from the direction of the door and hit Taissan! Before the rogue can even has a chance to respond or Khan have a chance to yell him a warning there is a bright flash so large and bright that everyone has to shield their eyes for fear of being blind (Except Kakhan who doesnt really care either way). When they finally open their eyes where Taissan once stood is now just a large clump of powder with a set of lockpicking tools by it. Dalris begins to weep as she covers her mouth and Pattus just looks down. Oellin gasps and kneels by the powder and mumbles a prayer. "Blessings of the Narru to you Taissan," Oellin exclaims sadly. "Ack....just when I was beginnin to like tha lad," the dwarf prays with the draenai. "Taissan! Noooooooo!" Kakhan screams out so loud that the whole world can probably hear him out now as he cries out in anger and sadness over the loss of his best friend...and nephew.
